A re-entry permit (Form I-327) is a travel document similar to a certificate of identity that is issued by DHS-USCIS to allow certain individuals to travel abroad and return to the United States. It is a booklet with a blue-green cover and the words “TRAVEL DOCUMENT” on the front.
If you filed an Application for Travel Document (Form I-131), and you have requested that your re-entry permit travel document be sent to the U.S. Consulate or the DHS-USCIS Guangzhou Field Office, then you can use our status PDF to check if your re-entry permit travel document has arrived at the Guangzhou office.
(Please note that historically, it normally takes at least four to eight weeks from the time your reentry permit is mailed for this office to receive it).
