March 5, Shanghai – Information Officer Felix Salazar talked about how to make strong presentations to an audience of over 50 at the Shanghai American Center. Using the metaphor of a house, Salazar showed how a strong presentation is like a strong house, whereby the introduction is the foundation, the supporting arguments are the support beams, and the conclusion is the roof. He also emphasized the importance of practice before a presentation and how to build rapport with an audience. Salazar wrapped up by asking an audience member to put forward an upcoming presentation topic and, together with the audience, demonstrating how easy it can be to come up with a winning presentation structure. Afterwards, attendees lined up to ask Salazar to advise them on upcoming presentation projects.
