Deputy Secretary Blinken: General, thank you very much for receiving us today. It’s a pleasure to be here again. You are right; this is my second trip to China in just a short period of time. It is a reflection of the tremendous importance that President Obama attaches to the relationship between our countries. I also share your assessment, General, of the success of President Xi’s visit to Washington. We demonstrated in many different areas that we have deepened and broadened our cooperation. We also showed that we could engage and manage our differences. And indeed, I look forward to helping implement some of the agreements and understandings that were reached in Washington. Among other things, the military to military relationship is a key part of the larger relationship between our countries. I look forward to discussing that with you as well. Thank you for welcoming us.
