The U.S. Consulate General Guangzhou invites all American citizens and their immediate family members to a Town Hall event, “2020: Navigating the New Normal,” on Friday, September 25, 2020, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Consulate’s Lincoln Hall. We will provide information on U.S. Consulate services and adapting to life in China after COVID-19. Consulate staff will be on hand to answer questions about a range of issues, including U.S. visas, passports and other American citizen services, and voting in the 2020 election. We will also have representatives from community service providers of interest to Americans present, along with food and drinks available for purchase.
In order to attend, please register here by September 18. Please note that you will need to present identification in order to gain entry to the Consulate, and that admission for guests who have not registered in advance will be limited to only those who present a valid United States passport.

Special Notice: If you have any symptoms of physical discomfort, please do not attend. We will take all possible measures to maintain a safe environment for public events. Our venue has state-of-the-art air filtration systems, specifically designed to prevent the spread of germs and viruses in the building, and strict sanitary measures will be taken at the venue. We encourage attendees to wear masks to participate, and hand sanitizer will be provided. Seats will be spaced apart, but please be aware that social distancing may be difficult to maintain in such a large public setting.
You will be asked to show your ID card or passport for admission. Children must be accompanied by an adult. In accordance with new security regulations, visitors may not bring laptops or cameras to the U.S. Embassy or Consulates General in China. Guests who attend our public events should be prepared to adhere to this requirement by not bringing these items. Please note, the Consulate General security guards will not store these items for you. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
