“Green Dining at Yale” 2018 China Tour Arouses Great Interest at the ShAC

Shanghai American Center hosted Rafi Taherian, Associate Vice President of Yale Hospitality, for a talk titled “Sustainable Green Campus Food”. Rafi visited the ShAC and delivered a speech during his “Green Dining at Yale” 2018 China Tour. During this talk, Rafi shared his values, vision, and strategy towards Yale’s Green Dining: while still considering food flavor, use plant protein instead of animal protein, and focus on food efficiency and safety. He also introduced the audience to the Yale Hamburger – a hamburger made of half mushrooms and half beef, which tastes the same as a beef hamburger but is much healthier.
