As part of U.S. Consulate General’s commemoration of the 70th anniversary of World War II, Public Affairs partnered with the private Long Museum to host a two-day film series titled “Remembering World War II: An American Perspective.” Each of the four films (Casablanca, Saving Private Ryan, Schindler’s List and The Monuments Men) was selected for their ability to showcase the different ways in which Americans were affected by the war. After the film showings, Pol/Econ Chief Bill Duff and Consular Officers Kelley Lawson and Tom Snyder shared stories about members of their own families who served in the armed forces during World War II.
