EducationUSA Chengdu Releases Open Doors Report on International Education

group photoEducationUSA Chengdu announced the recently-released Open Doors statistics on student mobility between China and the United States at a press conference on November 15, 2016 at the U.S. Consulate General Chengdu. Consul General Raymond Greene delivered opening remarks, Public Affairs Officer Keith Lommel and EducationUSA Adviser Zhao Minting announced the 2016 statistics, and Consular Chief Clark Ledger talked about recently implemented visa changes. An admissions officer from the University of St. Thomas, as well as a professor and a current student from West Chester University were also invited to share their insights about the college application process and study opportunities in the United States. The press conference was part of 2016 International Education Week, featuring the theme “Empowering Youth.” EducationUSA Advisers Wu Di and Zhao Minting also shared with the media outlets a short video showcasing interviews with Chinese and American students on their study-abroad experiences and U.S. school representatives in charge of international recruitment.
