Beijing American Center

Welcome to the Beijing American Center!

The Beijing American Center (BAC) is your main resource in China to learn more about American history, culture, and values.  Join our wide variety of activities every week, including expert lectures, panel discussions, film screenings, and more.  Our goal is to connect the Chinese public with accurate information about the United States, and to cultivate your curiosity!

We look forward to seeing you at the Beijing American Center soon!

American Culture and Values

The Beijing American Center (BAC) hosts regular programs highlighting U.S. culture and values, including film screenings, guest lectures, and panel discussions.  Join us for conversations about gender and LGBT issues, disability rights, and what it means to be an American.  If you are a college student, join us at our monthly American Classroom event – a series designed to bring you into an American-style seminar right here in Beijing.

Politics, Law, and the Economy

Through lectures, panel discussions, and interactive programs, the Beijing American Center (BAC) is a place where the Chinese public can learn more about the U.S. political, legal, and economic system.  Join us at our monthly Talking Law series to learn about the U.S. constitution and judicial processes, or our Road to 2020 series as we journey together toward the 2020 U.S. presidential election.

Health, Science, and the Environment

The Beijing American Center (BAC) hosts regular programs highlighting how the U.S. government works to improve global health, protect the environment, and advance scientific research that will benefit people everywhere.  Join us for discussions regarding biomedical research, environmental protection and conservation, heart health, mental health, artificial intelligence and more.

Educational Opportunities and English Language

Every month, the Beijing American Center (BAC) hosts regular programs for students and parents about educational opportunities in the United States.  If you or your child is interested in studying in the United States, join us for one of our Education USA programs to learn how to succeed as a future student in the United States.  If you are an English language educator, we welcome you to join us at one of our weekly or monthly English language teacher seminars.
