Regional English Language Office
The Regional English Language Office (RELO), part of the Public Affairs section of the United States Embassy in Beijing, supports public diplomacy outreach through professional development opportunities for English language teachers in China and Mongolia under the English for All initiative.
The Office works through the Public Affairs Sections of the US Embassy and US Consulates to create and implement projects and programs related to English language teaching methodology by providing training opportunities, expertise and materials. The RELO Office in Beijing is one of 25 such offices around the world and is coordinated by the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, Office of English Language Programs.

Exchange Program Opportunities
The Teachers of Critical Languages Program (TCLP) brings teachers of English or Chinese as a Foreign Language to the U.S. for one year to teach Mandarin Chinese to American primary and secondary school students and serve as cultural resources for their host schools and communities.
