CG Stein Opens Third U.S.-China Entertainment Law Conference

Consul General Stein delivered opening remarks at the Third U.S.-China Entertainment Law Conference co-hosted by the United Patent and Trademark Office, Loyola Law School Los Angles, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Peking University School of Law, Beijing Film Academy and Shanghai Film Group. The conference brought together over 250 senior policymaker, academics, business executives, and international practitioners from China and the States to discuss cutting-edge legal issues in the U.S. – China entertainment industry, including a review of the U.S. – China entertainment industry over the past year, IP issues in the U.S. – China film industry and video game industry, and cross-border IP enforcement in the entertainment industry. CG Stein’s remarks highlighted the importance of IP protection and enforcement to U.S. and Chinese companies in fostering creativity and innovation in entertainment-related industries.
