American Chef’s Culinary Diplomacy Highlights America’s Diversity

Sep. 15-21, Chengdu, Chongqing, Kunming – Public Affairs teamed up with the Agricultural Trade Office to bring American cuisine to Southwest China.  American Chef Adam Levin traveled to Chengdu, Chongqing and Kunming in one week and interacted with students, local chefs, and the general public. Programs included cooking demo at a retail outlet and served as a judge in cooking competitions, and gave presentations to high school students about being a chef and a restaurant owner. Chef Adam cooked Cajun Gumbo and Jumbalaya to showcase American culinary diversity and highlight a unique food culture.
